Global Warming Research How Much Do We Really Know
Much of the global warming research that was done in the past has been looked at today as a “golden truth.” There has been a lot of research still underway to determine why global warming is taking place. Unfortunately most of this research is simply going

Many people think don’t stop to realize all of the global warming effects on the planet. Too often it is said that global warming effects are not as big a problem as people are making them out to be. This statement could be no farther from the truth.

Did you know that the ice cap upon Mount Kilamanjaro has decreased in size by 75% because of global warming effects? It is believed that this ice cap could be completely gone within 15 years if global warming continues to increase. This isn’t the only place where ice has begin to thaw. Since 1978 Arctic ice, the most important ice to the planet, has began to thaw by at least 9% every decade. If these continue to thaw, in the next century the water levels will rise all around the globe.

Many of the animals have already started adapting to warmer weather by breeding earlier each year. Many non-migratory butterflies are being forced to move to climates where they can better survive. These butterflies are being forced farther North from 2 to 115 miles. If animals are a good indicator of the present weather situation, then maybe we should have started taking their earlier warning signs.

Global warming effects are everywhere, but you shouldn’t be discouraged. There ways that you can help fight global warming. Limiting your consumption of electricity and taking public transportation helps tremendously. Planting trees near your house can help reduce electricity. These trees will keep your house shaded during the summer months and reduce the amount of time in which you need to run the air conditioner. Another good idea is to wrap water heaters older than five years with an insulating jacket. This will cause less energy consumption by keeping the water at the temperature it needs for longer.

Now that you see the global warming effects on the planet, you can now be sure that it is a real problem and do something about it. There are many ways for you to make your home energy efficient. If everyone works together we can greatly reduce the chances of a catastrophic future due to global warming.
